I think the IT person where I work uninstalled the 32 bit Excel and replaced it with the the Excel 64 bit from Office 64 bit that I have bought separately. They are two separate products with separate serial numbers if this makes any difference.

I have last week purchased from Microsoft online store the standalone versions of Access and Excel , hoping that they will work the same way. If you say this is not possible then I will return the software for a refund as I have not installed any of them. The have separate product numbers.
