I also never got the opportunity to type in my license number, as it never got past that loading screen. I have seen many forums topics where the loading just freezes and inventor never starts, but that is not my problem. For me, the window closes and no Inventor starts running.

The curious thing is that Inventor was working well a month ago, with the free 30 days trial. I didn’t change anything on my computer, pretty sure.

I’m very frustrated because I have many ideas I’d like to work on, I really hope somebody has a solution for me. It worked in trial mode, but I don’t think this has to do something with that, because I still didn’t get to put my license number in. I used the trial mode and then decided to use the student mode to keep it for longer and be able to practice.

I’m hard stuck at the first problem:. Net Framework 4. I checked, it was there. So I tried to remove it and install 4. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to figure out how to find to uninstall 4.

I read all the articles that you sent and even used an executable that supposedly uninstalls Net Framework. I’m probably just retarded with this uninstall of Net Framework, but I really don’t get it It doesn’t appear in my “Programs and Features”, I can’t find it anywhere, yet when I try to install 4.

Unfortunately you are unable to use the free educational license. You can only request and use this version if you are attending a qualified educational institution. In addition the trial mode is not designed as a training tool. The rules of a 30 day trial is only to be used if you are determining if the application meets your need and you’re thinking of purchasing subscribing the product. Now as a forum user I can’t tell you want to do but I’m just giving you a heads up that you are violating the rules that you accepted.

You need to make the decision. One final thing.. If you are attending a qualified school then disregard my message above. But you indicated you have ideas and want to start using Inventor for that. Well guess what.. Any work you do in an educational version cannot be shared, published, developed for profit or be used in any matter where money is made. I graduated 3 months ago with a Master of Engineering Science, and some interviewers that I met told me to practice as much as I could with Autocad Inventor, because that’s what I love.

I don’t want to make any money from it, I want to get better and use the time looking for a job to keep practicing, in order to get that job eventually. Well than you need to subscribe to a commercial license if you want to continue to learn. You have already indicated you have graduated and sounds like you are trying to get a job.

So you are not entitled to continue to learn using the Educational Version. In the end, I don’t want to discredit that you want to continue to learn and better yourself in Inventor.. That’s great news!!! Although I would like to assist you in getting your Inventor up and running, I can’t because I don’t want to put you or someone else in the violation of the rules or in a non-compliant state. Congratulations on the graduation and good luck on your job search. Lancaster provided some good information about the terms and use. Hands on always seems the best way, but in my experience employers know you are in this limbo when you graduate, I was in the same position.

The difference is if you stop your education and wait for an offer, or continue on your own accord even without access. I would recommend studying the knowledge network , forum solutions, online video tutorials, and textbook manuals, they are quite helpful.

I’ve found getting familiar this way helped my understanding grow more than anything. When in an interview stating that you have your degree and have continued your education in this manner on your own will go a long way.
