Nobody has since updated the plugin, because it works and the people that use it already had the version of 3DS MAX, I guess. With real mechanical tools you can always buy older equipment or make it yourself if you have to. And a 3D design and animation program is a tool, so why does the same concept not apply? Why can’t I just buy a “older version” of this tool?

I mean I get it, the newest version has more features and better performance and all, but it’s just not what I need. I just need the old version that works with the plugin that I need. Or at least make the new versions “compatible” with older plugins, I don’t know if that is possible It’s kind of sad that this company calls itself “a leader in 3D design”, yet I can’t even buy the one product that I actually need.

Its not Autodesks problem that this plug in doesn’t work with newer versions of 3ds Max its the developer of this plug ins fault. Thanks for your answer, but I don’t care who’s fault it is. I just need the program. I didn’t Well I think I should just accept the fact that all of this will not work and maybe try to rewrite the plugin for the newest version of 3D MAX instead of complaining. So everybody who needs it in the future can benefit from it. You never know, someone might know of an even more amazing and compatible plugin which you weren’t aware of You could also ask in the autodesk 3ds max programming or cgsociety’s maxscript section if someone can help you rebuild your plugin or write one that does the same.
